At Exeter Church we run the circles and awareness groups listed below at present. Others may be introduced from time to time and will depend, not only on demand, but also the availability of a suitable Medium with the correct experience to run each circle/group. Please monitor this site for further information and ‘contact us’ with your details and requirements. We will then be able to advise you of forthcoming events which would be of interest to you.

Awareness Circle
The next circle starts in 2012 and will be held on the following dates: starting on Saturday 25th February, 24th March, 28th April, 26th May, 30th June, with a reserve one in case of need on 28th July. If you would like to put your name on the list please email the church via 'contact us' or add your name to the list in church. 10.30-4pm (£15)

Development Circle
Thursday at 7.15 for 7.30 p.m.
This circle is run for the development of the student’s mediumistic gifts and to produce new mediums to work in Spiritualist churches as Speakers and Demonstrators. Strong commitment is required as well as regular weekly attendance and a basic knowledge of Spiritualist philosophy. This circle is the natural progression from the Awareness Circle mentioned above for those with suitable potential and is by invitation only. If you have not progressed through the Awareness Circle but wish to be considered for this Circle, you are cordially invited to apply, giving as much detail as possible of your experience, what you consider is your potential and reasons for wishing to join. Mediumship development takes time, effort, commitment and a positive attitude. As in the Awareness Circle, students will undertake a variety of activities relating to spiritual development.

Meditation and Discussion 
Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at 7.30 p.m. (£2 at the door)
The next evening will be held on Friday 27th January.
This group is run on a friendly, informal basis and is open to everyone. Topics discussed and questions asked vary from session to session depending on those persons attending. From time to time, a directed meditation will be given and other practical exercises introduced. Regular commitment and attendance is not a requirement but recommended. Come and enjoy discussions and teachings on a wide variety of subjects including your life path, life after physical death, Spiritualism and many others in an open, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. These sessions are open to anyone who would like to attend. There is no requirement of Church Membership in this group.

Mediumship Development Open Group 
The next evening will be held on Monday February 6th, the FIRST Monday each month. (£3 at the door)

Using practical exercises, these mediumship development classes will take you through the 'mechanics of mediumship', from working psychically to awareness of the Spirit World. They are suitable for everyone who wishes to develop - beginners, those who have had some experience and working mediums. These classes will help to develop your mediumship to whatever level you wish to achieve - whether this is platform work, private sittings or just using it for your own spiritual development
